Scott Pickford Adds Data Processing to its Houston Operation

Scott Pickford announces the opening of seismic data processing services in its Houston office.

A particular area of expertise which will be available in Houston is the processing of large volumes of difficult data from the sand dune terrains of North Africa - especially Algeria and Tunisia. Many thousands of kilometres of data from this area have been processed over the last three years, both 2D and recently 3D.

Scott Pickford will also be offering many special capabilities in interpretive processing such as wavelet estimation, well ties, inversion and AVO from its own suite of software which is configured around a core ProMAX system. Close links are provided between the processing software and Scott Pickford's proprietary products: VELIT and IC2. VELIT, the velocity modelling package, is used in conjunction with Pre-Stack Depth Migration to produce Time Depth Solutions, and IC2 is acknowledged as one of the most complete seismic attribute analysis packages available today. Both packages are additionally used by Scott Pickford to provide extensive QC facilities in 3D processing.
