Last month I mentioned that we would be attending the Doodlespiel this year. In my opinion, it was a great success. When we volunteer and arrange events like this, we often only hear about the things that go wrong. I know what it was like when I suggested the idea for the First Junior Geophysicists Forum and was put in charge of it. I chaired that committee and did the majority of the planning for the next seven JGF’s. Stressful doesn’t begin to describe it. So I definitely I appreciate how much time and effort the Doodlespiel Committee puts into their event every year. I would like to say THANK YOU and well done. I was very impressed.

If there is someone you would like to thank for a volunteer job, mentorship, or just for helping you in any aspect of your life within the geophysical community, let me know. I would be very pleased to share it with the readers. Let’s pass on the THANK YOU’s to the people that deserve them.
