Absolute Imaging Inc., a seismic data processing company based in Calgary, is pleased to announce three new additions to the Absolute team.

Pat McKenny joins us as Manager, Business Development and will be responsible for providing strategic direction, coordination and execution of Absolute’s sales plan. Pat will play a role in developing Absolute’s brand both domestically and internationally. Joe Minten joins us as a Senior Processing Geoscientist and will be responsible for the processing of both land and marine projects. Joe has processed 2D and 3D seismic data from all over the world and has over 30 years of experience with structural, stratigraphic and AVO plays. Carolina Mirabella joins us full-time as a Processing Geophysicist. Carolina recently completed her Masters degree in Geophysics at the University of Calgary while working part-time at Absolute. Divestco would like to welcome the addition of John Bertsch to their team, facilitating the role of Director Corporate Development. Bertsch will work with Divestco’s senior managers and other client facing personnel to direct and manage business development activities in accordance with our organizational strategy. As a respected long standing member in our industry, Bertsch brings many years of relevant experience.

Bertsch joined the seismic industry after a brief pass at student teaching, establishing roots in seismic acquisition, beginning with Kenting Exploration, which evolved into Enertec Geophysical, and eventually merged into Veritas. During this period Bertsch spent many years in field operations before moving into the office assuming various roles including HR, HSE, Operations Supervisor, and Marketing globally. Bertsch has additionally sat as a Director with the Alberta Safety Council and the CAGC, lobbying frequently on behalf of our industry. Bertsch moved into the processing world directly after taking a brief stretch, working towards a law degree additionally serving for a period as a decorated officer with the Calgary Police Service. Born in Calgary, but raised between the farming community of Sedley, Saskatchewan and Calgary, Bertsch today continues to support the family tradition of ranching, maintaining a working interest in the farm. Having had a run through Stamp Camp, on the way to University, Bertsch maintains a passion for sports and is an avid supporter of minor sports. Bertsch in recent years has been an active CSEG Member, working on various committees and events. To date Bertsch has continued this involvement recently joining the CSEG Ski Spree Committee. Bertsch has furthered his professional involvement and development, additionally sitting on the Board of Directors for Buckhurst Oil & Gas. For Bertsch, Family and friends will always remain a priority, as will good old fashioned values and business practices.

We are thrilled to announce the promotion of Jordan Cicoria to President of Lorrnel Consultants. Jordan will be taking over day-today operations from his predecessor Andy Cicoria who will continue to mentor him. Jordan joined the company over 5 years ago and has held positions in Environment & Land and Project Management. Jordan brings a wealth of experience to his new role and we are excited about his new position in the company.

Jordan has stated that his goal as President of Lorrnel is to “Continue to provide exceptional customer service to all our existing clientele while aiming to grow and expand the company. This will be accomplished by providing superior approvals, mapping and regulatory services that allow Lorrnel to be a part of our clients’ teams.”

We would like to give a warm welcome Brian Harvey in his new role as Seismic Manager and Blaine Gervais in his new role as Seismic Project Manager. May both have continued success in their future with us at Lorrnel.

MOVING ON OUT...
